Compassion International is a Christian child advocacy ministry working for children worldwide. The organisation works with partner churches in 24 countries in projects aimed at releasing children from poverty through provision of food, shelter, education and health care. Projects are tailored to the needs of local communities. Compassion’s work in Brazil began in 1987. Currently, more than 38,800 children are registered in more than 150 child development centers. Compassion partners with churches and denominations to help them provide Brazilian children with the opportunity to rise above their circumstances and become all God has created them to be.
