Aldeias Infantis is an independent Brazilian NGO. A member of the umbrella organisation, SOS Kinderdorf International, Aldeias Infantis cares for children and young people in accordance with the statutes and principles of the international organisation. Aldeias Infantis has been working in Brazil for more than 40 years, and is now responsible for 14 SOS Children’s Villages, 13 SOS Youth Facilities, one SOS Kindergarten, 8 SOS Social Centres and 4 Hermann Gmeiner schools. The main aim of the projects is to ensure that the children cared for are given the best possible start in life in order to be able to live as independent adults.
