Sierra Leone Adult Education Association (SLADEA) is a NGO established as a membership organization in 1978, with a mission to reduce the high rate of illiteracy among adults in the non-formal sector, through an indigenous language programe and to achieve public recognition and support for non-formal education sector. SLADEA works to transform the non-literate and passive majority of the population, especially women and young people into active initiators and players in their own development process.
