CEEPARD Sierra Leone is a not for profit making Non Governmental Organization (NGO) which has been in operations as a registered Community Based Organization (CBO) since 2021 to 2024. As of February, 2025, the Organization had gained registration as a Non governmental Organization with the Western Area Rural District Council in the Western Area Rural District headquarters, Waterloo. This means, CEEPARD Sierra Leone can now operates in more than one districts in Sierra Leone. It was established as a rural integrated organization to foster Charitable and voluntary Rural Development Initiatives related to the welfare of Vulnerable Children, Youths and Women through Economic Empowerment programs, Equal access to quality Education, Agricultural support to small holder farmers, Peace-building advocacy, and Livelihood Support activities to alleviate extreme poverty in rural communities in Sierra Leone. CEEPARD Sierra Leone does so by creating earth breaking opportunities in deprived rural communities to enhance the livelihood of the needy by outsourcing opportunities from all, and to ensure equality for all.

CEEPARD Sierra Leone has successfully implemented several charity and voluntary programs geared towards promoting the welfare of youth, children, and Women through our Skills Development scholarship scheme for youths, Connecting rural communities to health centers, schools, markets and other works or life through our annual Feeder Roads Maintenance Program in rural communities, annual Summer School Livelihood Support Program for the Less Privileged Children in Rural Communities, and our annual Community Driven Social Development Programme which was initiated to adopt a Community of Practice (CoP) Approach to ensure that grassroot takes acute responsibility in Identifying local community challenges, and proffer local and workable solutions to them. This approach reduces community stakeholders dependence on government, politicians, and other development partners to always and fully solve their prevalent societal challenges in Sierra Leone. This programme is coupled with varieties of interventions like; Launching of campaigns against inimical societal odds, organize a district annual mini Olympic competition, Annual Integrated Festival, Strategic town hall meeting, and other social programs to enhance social and economic freedom in rural communities in Sierra Leone.

Since 2021 to September 21st, 2024, this NGO has impacted over 1,500 less privileged children with free two months intensive summer classes using the Teaching at the Right Level Approach (TaRL), and supply them with essential school going materials like; copy books, bags, pens, pencils, geometry set, and bicycles for those who trek from afar to access their schools in the rural communities, and provide them with a meal per day during the summer. We have also offered scholarship scheme to over 50 deprived youths and women to acquire transformative skills for self reliance over the years. CEEPARD Sierra Leone had also registered a Cycling Club named “Waterloo Cycling Armature Club” under it Empowerment thematic area to empower youths and children who are interested to transform their lives through cycling. CEEPARD Sierra Leone is working with over 10 youth and women groups who are are engaged in different livelihood interventions, facilitate peace talks, and train over 50 small holder farmers on Climate Smart Agriculture, Agronomic practices, and the development of Agribusiness over the years.
