RHOI – Uganda is a fully registered Community Based Organization with its operations within Serere District Local Government under the Uganda Non-Governmental Organizational statue/act of 1989 (NGO Act 2016- Revised). RHOI-Uganda attained its registration status with Serere District Local Government on the 1st of July, 2020 under registration number: SN/306/2020.

RHOI – Uganda’s prime motto is empowerment for a positive transformation of the marginalized societies.

Considering their association with the community’s development sector, the group was cognizant of the plethora of problems plaguing the society. Consequently, the organization’s focus was not kept limited to only one village of Akuoro or one sector but within Serere district as a whole and to a variety of sectors as will be stipulated later on. With plans to be operating in different places within Serere district, RHOI – Uganda will be carrying out a range of interventions in the areas of education, health & hygiene, livelihood programs, youth & women empowerment, agriculture and human rights.

The type of activities undertaken by the organization range from capacity building to service delivery, with focus remaining on the deprived and marginalized segments of the society. Whereas in terms of operations what characterizes RHOI – Uganda’s functioning are its efforts to (a) enlist involvement of the locals when initiating activities at the grass root level; and (b) mobilize women and youth for bringing peace, tolerance, and development in society. RHOI – Uganda enjoy a diverse portfolio.

Empowering rural communities in fighting poverty, disease and defending the rights of people through information accessibility and training services provision.

The program goal are materialized with a helping hand from members, donor agencies, and philanthropists.

Scope of Work
