St. Mary’s Orphans Education Trust was established and registered as
Community Based Organisation (CBO) in March 2008 to help the
disadvantaged children and their mothers/caregivers become
self-reliant and resourceful to their respective communities.

Mission

To facilitate all African children, Christian response to
meet the needs of those who have been affected by Epidemics by
overcoming the causes, effects and spread of diseases through
educating orphans, disease awareness and sensitization mobile clinics
, empowerment programs and community capacity building in light of
Epidemics and poverty. The primary target is to educate orphaned
children and provide vocational training, health care and counseling
to both orphans and widows /widowers

Objectives
1. Strengthen the protection and care of orphans and vulnerable
children within their extended families and communities.

2. Enhance education opportunities, health and psychosocial care to
Orphans and Vulnerable Children and caregivers.

3. Improve the well-being, livelihoods of orphans and other
vulnerable children and, their families, and communities.

Geographical Coverage

Districts of Jinja and Kamuli in Eastern Uganda

SOET’S beneficiaries are the women, men and children of both rural and
urban areas including the youth. SOET is also looking for likeminded partner to work together.
