Healthy Teenage Moms Foundation

Unverified non-profit organisation

Healthy Teenage Moms Foundation is a rising non-profit NGO that seeks to highlight and bring relief to the staggering plight of 25% of Uganda’s adolescent girls who end up with teenage pregnancies, mainly due to poverty. HTMF has taken on the tasks of spreading awareness of this vice in order to emphasize prevention, maternal care and educational skilling of teenage mothers. HTMF is situated in a suburb in Kampala Uganda, that is next to a local port of Lake Victoria. This enables us reach young people better and spread awareness while offering reproductive sexual health practice options. HTMF hopes to expand it’s operations to majorly rural areas where the prevalence of early marriages and teenage pregnancies are causing a worrying spike in the population and subsequently, government expenditure.
