Women Initiative for Community Transformation

Unverified non-profit organisation

WICOT-Uganda is a newly established but registered community-based organization operating in Kyenjojo Town Council, Kyenjojo District, Western Uganda. WICOT is committed to promoting social and economic empowerment for women and girls while fostering inclusive community transformation. Our core competencies include women’s empowerment, vocational and life skills training, financial inclusion through VSLAs, community health education, and adult literacy.

Though still in its infancy stages, WICOT is led by a passionate team with deep community ties and experience in grassroots mobilization. The organization targets underserved and vulnerable women and youth, especially those with limited access to education, skills, and income-generating opportunities.

In 2025, WICOT plans to reach over 400 beneficiaries through well-structured programs. Our strengths lie in strong community engagement, participatory planning, and our focus on sustainable, locally driven solutions. We are committed to building strategic partnerships to expand our capacity, deliver measurable impact, and ensure long-term community resilience and development.
