Rukiga Forum For Development (RUFODE)

Unverified non-profit organisation

Rukiga Forum For Development (RUFODE) is a non profit community based organization with over 150 members. It was started by men and women to advocate for afforestation programs to contribute to the restoration of trees that have been cut for timber, charcoal burning, and farming activities. These activities have led to global warming that have implications on livelihoods and water.

Rufode operates in South Western uganda and has been conducting community sensitization meetings, radio programs, and field activities all aimed at encouraging tree planting in the communities.

Rufode is a fully registered community based organization by the government of the Republic of Uganda.
