Living Positive Kenya

Unverified non-profit organisation

Living Positive Kenya (LPK) is a grassroot community-based organization focused on improving the livelihoods of women in families affected by HIV and AIDS. LPK seeks to improve the health and socio-economic status of the mother and empowers her to take care of her children.

LPK serves women living with HIV by providing psycho-social counseling, drug adherence, skills training for 6/9/12 months or 1 and 1/2 years. Upon graduation they study business and entrepreneurship skills, one on one training in micro finance and how to save. Finally they are assisted to start income generating activities according to one’s ability and resources. LPK journeys with them along until they are able to stand on their own. This organization also provides sponsorship for bright students of these women through networking with local and international friends.
