Labwor Zonal Integrated Development Programme (LAZIDEP) is a registered Community based organization with Abim District Local Government established in 2003 under the zonal structural arrangements of development arm of Church of Uganda-North Karamoja Diocese. The goal is to “Promote the rights of the poor and marginalized people through capacity building, advocacy, networking and by addressing the social and environmental injustices, inequalities that perpetuate poverty”. LAZIDEP is entrenched on the thematic areas of Environment protection, Health, Good governance, Gender, Peace building, Child protection and Education. LAZIDEP comprises of General Assembly, 5 board members (F=1: M=4) and five (5) qualified and competent staff in the management team (M=2: F=3)
Since its inception in 2003, LAZIDEP has been in the vanguard of development in empowering local communities in Labwor (Abim) District to attain sustainable livelihoods and harmonious co-existence through an integrated approach.

World Wide Fund through the Funding from UNDP Diakonia Sweden TASO in implementing activities.
