The International Union of Parents and Teachers Association (IUPTA) actively engages with both local and international networks that support its mission to advocate for children’s rights, promote safe learning environments, and influence policy through evidence-based research and community collaboration. IUPTA is proud to hold Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) – NGO Branch (DESA). This status enables the organization to contribute to UN processes, participate in international forums, and collaborate with global partners on issues related to child protection, education, and human rights. In addition, IUPTA participates in the following networks: * Ghana Education Network (GEN) – A platform for collaboration among education-focused NGOs, government stakeholders, and academic institutions in Ghana. * Child Protection Alliance – Ghana Chapter – A coalition advocating for stronger systems and policies to safeguard children. * African Civil Society Network on Education for All (ANCEFA) – A regional network promoting access to quality education across Africa. *Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children (Associate Member) – A global initiative working to eliminate violence against children. Ghana NGO Coalition on the Rights of the Child (GNCRC) – A national alliance supporting the implementation and monitoring of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. IUPTA also maintains strong collaborative relationships with local parent-teacher associations, school boards, and community-based organizations, promoting accountability and best practices in education and child welfare.
