The Volunteer Center of Madison County was created in 1969 as a clearing-house to link new volunteers with non-profit organisations, annually recruiting, training and managing more than 10,000 volunteers. Their aim is to provide community solutions to community problems, supporting special events and programmes and encouraging young volunteers.
