Gilead Global Initiative For The Less Privileged

Unverified non-profit organisation

Gilead Global Initiative for the Less Privileged (GiGILEP) is a Non-profit Organization with a mandate to bring healing to the physically, spiritually, socially and economically less privileged in our society. GiGILEP is incorporated in Nigeria in 2009 in accordance with the Companies and Allied Matters Decree of 1990.

GigILEP provides services that promote healthy living to the underprivileged in their locality as well as beyond our border.

They reach out to the less privileged through three focal areas which are:

1. Education: GIgILEP is involved in providing Primary and Secondary Education as means of empowerment as well as spiritual and moral formation. Investing in adolescent can break entrenched cycles of poverty and inequity and ensure that adolescence becomes an age of opportunity.

GigILEP grants scholarships to some indigent children, as a stepping stone to realising our big picture of running Secondary School/Technical College for underprivileged children.

2. Health: GILEP’s Medical Outreach/Health Education is aimed at promoting healthy living and reducing ailments among people. GigILEP gladly takes basic healthcare services to the doorsteps of those living in the remote and urban rural communities who do not have access to healthcare.

3. Rural Community Development— Targeted at bringing development to remote rural communities. Through integration and community involvement, GigILEP provides basic social amenities such as portable water, primary health care and other felt needs of the community as resource permits.
