The Global Literacy Project (GLP) is a non-profit organisation committed to fostering community-based literacy initiatives throughout the world. GLP donates books and other literacy support materials as well as conducting educational programs aimed at improving knowledge, enhancing global awareness, and developing skills. GLP current aims include: increase public awareness of literacy issues, conduct service learning programs to improve knowledge and develop skills in the US and abroad, and distrubte literacy materials throughout Africa, Asia and the Caribbean.
