Friends of the Earth –Sierra Leone is one of the largest National Environmental Group in Sierra Leone bringing together interest groups as members of the organization. The group campaigns for today’s most urgent environmental and social issues.

The vision is of a peaceful and sustained nation founded on societies living in harmony with nature. Friends of the earth Sierra Leone is a grass roots organization founded in 1989. The organization has 25 local groups that promote environmental awareness, partly through their campaign on sustainable societies. Friends of the earth also seek to advance women and girls’ roles in the sustainable management of resources.

The group envisages a society of independent people living in dignity; wholeness and fulfillment in which equity and human and people rights are realized.
