The American Anti-Slavery Group (AASG) is a nonprofit organisation that works to abolish modern slavery around the world, focusing primarily on systems of chattel slavery in Sudan and Mauritania (but also debt bondage, sex slavery and forced labour). The AASG’s programs are geared toward promoting awareness, engaging in advocacy and activism, and providing direct aid for victims (including food, shelter, jobs and job training, rehabilitation, education, and slave rescue missions).
