World Wide Fund for Nature Hong Kong

Unverified non-profit organisation

WWF-Hong Kong was founded in 1981 and is an integral part of WWF’s global network. WWF’s work began with managing Mai Po Nature Reserve and conserving iconic species. Over the years, the organization has expanded and adjusted their mission to better serve Hong Kong’s conservation and education needs and align themselves with WWF’s global strategy.

WWF aims to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature, by :

1. conserving the world’s biological diversity
2. ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable
3. promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption

In support of their global mission, WWF-Hong Kong’s vision is to transform Hong Kong into Asia’s most sustainable city where nature is conserved, carbon pollution is reduced, and consumption is environmentally responsible.
