Good News Jail and Prison Ministry Tanzania

Unverified non-profit organisation

Good News Jail and Prison Ministry Tanzania is a faith-based non-profit organisation dedicated to providing holistic support to incarcerated individuals and their families.

The core competency lies in “Restorative Justice” — addressing the root causes of crime by supporting the most vulnerable victims : the children left behind. The Ministry bridges the gap between prison walls and community welfare.

Based in Mbeya, Tanzania, the operations extend to providing critical interventions for children of incarcerated parents and street-connected children. They operate at the intersection of social welfare, education advocacy, and spiritual mentorship, ensuring that the imprisonment of a parent does not result in the end of a child’s future.

Currently provide direct support to 470 children, offering them essential nutrition, school fees, uniforms, and healthcare.
