  Solidarité Internationale pour l’Afrique (SIA) is a Malian NGO engaged in relief and development work in poor rural communities. SIA aims to contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of rural populations. Target groups are children and adolescents and young farmers’ organisations. Programmes with which the organisation is involved include primary health care (reproductive health, fighting against HIV/AIDS and female circumcision); reintegrating children in difficult circumstances back into the community, fighting against child labour and child trafficking and promoting the education of disabled children and others; micro-credit for women, and environmental conservation. SIA also promotes education for women and girls.
