Royal Aid for Development (ROAD), founded in 1999, is a Non-Governmental and Non-Profit making Organization first registered with Southern Sudanese authorities in 2004. After the CPA in 2005 it register with the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Constitutional Development in accordance with the new (Southern) Sudan NGO’s Act 2003 (No 2755) and with annual registration with Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) in accordance with the South Sudan NGO’s Act 2016 as a Humanitarians actor (Reg. No 383).

ROAD is a national NGO which was formed to contribute in addressing the underlying causes of the region’s chronic under-development to enhance economic empowerment of the communities, through social rehabilitation, building a democratic structures and capacity building of the local civil society groups. ROAD has been implementing multi-sectorial projects in South Sudan for the last 17 years.

ROAD mission is to provide an excellent education for the young and the disadvantage, build healthier lives and empower the socio economic wellbeing of the communities of which it envision a South Sudanese communities as an educationally, Healthy and socio economically sound communities.
