Peace Corps is an NGO that organises the participation of American volunteers in projects in the developing world. Volunteers work with members of the local community in areas such as education, the environment, information technology and business development. Peace Corps volunteers have been working in Niger since 1962. The 127 volunteers currently in the country are involved in agriculture, environmental projects, community devlopment, youth education, health, food security and sustainable development.
