The Eastern Home Foundation Uganda believes in and strives to uphold the rights and livelihood promotion which is undertaken at schools and community members in Uganda’s remote rural areas. This aims to support education and HIV/AIDS prevention, reproductive health care for women and children.
As an organization, they reach out to vulnerable youths especially girls by empowering them through life skills like making reusable sanitary pads from new or second hand cotton clothes, also crafts making and reproductive health training.
Their program reaches young people through a one stop centre where youth gather for recreation activities including plays, watch educative movies, counselling, life skills training and reproductive health training. This is achieved in partnership with the churches in their communities. The Foundation also partners with local leaders and members of the community especially women who are in most cases the caretakers of the orphans and other vulnerable children (OVC).
