Community Uplift and Welfare Development (CUWEDE) is a leading, Community Based Organisation (CBO), registered in Nebbi with Nebbi District Local Government; and operating in all the sub-counties of Nebbi.

CUWEDE works with the poor, rural and marginalized community groups composed of women, youth and children, the majority who live in large households of around 7 people and eat one unbalanced meal a day. They lack access to basic services such as clean and safe water, use firewood as source of clean energy, seek medical assistance with traditional healers, and usually drop out in primary four or five, meaning they do not even complete primary school level of training and hardly participate in local governance agenda.

CUWEDE is a community- based organization who working with these people to transform the West Nile community through evidence- based research, advocacy, capacity building and innovative poverty actions.
