Special Emergency Activity to Restore Children's Hope ( SEARCH)
(Unverified non-profit organisation)
Special Emergency Activity to Restore Children’s Hope (SEARCH), is a Liberian non-profit that pioneered the provision of relief services to war-affected children in northern Liberia, during the onset of the Liberian civil war. Since its birth in 1999, SEARCH’s scale and scope of work have been expanded to include community health services, education, emergency response, and refugee services across five regions of the country since the war ended. SEARCH’s goal is to ensure protection for women and children through advocacy and active intervention to improve quality of life for vulnerable individuals, families, and groups. SEARCH currently provides mixed services to over 5000 refugees in Liberia, provides WASH and educational support services to 4 community schools; reaching approximately 1500 rural students and supports 60 youths studying at tertiary and vocational institutions across Liberia.
