The American Refugee Committee (ARC) was founded in 1979 to help victims of the Cambodian refugee crisis. The ARC is an international nonprofit organisation that works for the survival, health and well being of refugees, displaced people and those at risk, enabling them to rebuild productive lives of dignity and purpose. The ARC works in 12 countries around the world (Africa, the Balkans, Central Asia and Thailand) helping the victims of war and civil conflict to rebuild their lives.
