Hope Children’s Centre is a local, community initiated educational institute in Uganda that offers formal and vocational education mainly to less privileged children, with most emphasis on AIDS orphans. The Centre aims to provide the children with skills that willl enable them to live a sustainable life. The organisation also runs a scholarship fund for orphans and attempts through education to reduce the number of young children who leave villages for towns / city to become job seekers and may become exploited as street children and pickpockets.
