The International Organization for Migration (IOM) works with migrants and governments to provide humane responses to various migration challenges. As the leading international organisation for migration, IOM acts with its partners in the international community to assist in meeting the growing operational challenges of migration management, advance understanding of migration issues, encourage social and economic development through migration, and uphold the human dignity and well-being of migrants. It is assisting the Kyrgyz government with border management, internal and external migration, counter-trafficking programmes, and local NGO capacity-building.
