What is your project and how will it help?

Our goal is to purchase sewing machines to teach 140 women in three vocational schools in the central region. It is our hope they can improve their knowledge in sewing and become professionals. This in turn will help their communities by increasing economic activity in the area.

This will help them to be more independent and to have the courage to fight against poverty. These sewing machines will be a motivation for other women, notably the younger women, who may also use sewing as a profession rather than resorting to more desperate measures. It will give them a chance to plan a future, rather than worry about having suficient resources to survive.
