We are youth capacity building organization in Zimbabwe working with youth in Schools, community at large in addressing the issue of youth unemployment, crippling the community in Zimbabwe which result in youth engaging into crime, prostitution as they try to earn a living.
Our NGO have come up with an initiative to call for all stakeholders of the community such as government leaders, churches and corporates as well as other NGOs to partner with us as we will embark on this outreach into communities to provide entrepreneurial skills training for youths and establish Community business ventures/income generating projects where they will work together in groups for them to earn their own living.
This is what we call Community Based Youth Empowerment for sustainable Employment creation. We are therefore seeking for support from your organization or other partners through out the world.
After the success of this initiative we seek it to take it further to Global stage where the concept can be duplicated to alleviate poverty in poor communities and create youth employment.
What is your project and how will it help?
The project will assist the young generation who are facing the plight of extreme poverty to to lack of employment.
The project is a peace building concept also which seek to unite the community to address their socio-economic challenges where they be taught to focus on constructive matters rather than their political differences. The project is called Zimbabwe Community Based Youth empowerment for Sustainable Employment creation Solidarity project.
How can other people partner with you on your project?
We are seeking for funding or material support or donation of equipment used for starting small business to give to the youths in the community who will participate in the projects.
We are also kindly seeking of financial support which we will give to the participants in community as micro-credit loan facilities to start ups the community business ventures for the youths.
Please detail the resources that you need.
1. Motor vehicle – a van or double cab which we use to reach into communities to carry the trainers
2. Training materials – flip charts, stationary, markers, 4 laptops for trainers and admin. 2 overhead projectors
3. US$100,000 grant/fund to pay allowances for trainers, admin expenses, and micro – credit facility to give to youths in community to start their business ventures after the training
4. US$20,000 facility for monitoring and evaluation and market linkages for the products produced in these community business ventures
