Tanzania Youth for ChristWho are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?
Most girls who come from dysfunctional and poverty stricken families have less access to proper secondary education and other necessary training including professions. Many of them are denied the opportunities and the rights to education some for cultural reasons, circle-social challenges others because of extreme poverty or early pregnancies so they end up dropping school. For those who make it to secondary school face the problem of school fees, uniform and other necessities. Tanzania Youth for Christ Development Studies Center educates girls from dysfunctional and poverty stricken families. We work with like-minded partners to enable the aforementioned group to acquire education and training opportunity.

Women Empowerment Project receives funds from well-wishers to support educational expenses and other necessities including personal need for student. We work with local government and community leaders to identify most needy and potential girls who have the ability and passion to go back to school. We bring together girls for special secondary school program at our government accredited educational center where the girls first go through rehabilitation program and thereafter start secondary education. Along with that they are taught IT, Small scale entrepreneurship, Life skills, food production, tailoring and other skills of choices such as handcrafts.
