Please help the orphans and vulnerable children here in Teso, Soroti, Uganda, a place that had continuous wars and tribal disputes, and now suffering from post war effects.
The issues we seek to address are child protection, child sponsorship and livelihood.
Problems:
- Children labor where some children are made to work before they complete their compulsory schooling in any case below 15 years. Besides, these children are underpaid and some are subjected to serious physical and sexual abuse.
- Malnutrition in that a majority of children are being fed on one type food and at the end they are pruned to getting diseases like; Kwashiorko, Marasmus.
- HIV/AIDS, the high rates of HIV/AIDS infection and affection.
