Community based organisation in Uganda in need of funding

Who are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?

Village Care Development Foundation is a fully registered community based organization. We help the poor people in Kagadi Kibaale District, Uganda.

What is your project and how will it help?

Our work include:

- Mobilizing and sensitizing the local communities about domestic health such as boiling drinking water, having clean pit latrines and general cleanliness to prevent deseases

- Fighting domestic violence

- Helping all children to attend school

- Teaching the local communities about HIV/AIDS and prevention. We encourage the community to follow the ABC method whereby A stands for Abstain, B – Be faithful to your partner and C – Condom use

- Encouraging the community to start up small projects which will help them sustain their families

- Teaching the community about human rights i.e. in homes, schools and in government as well

- Encouraging gender balancing. Women need to participate in all activities taking place which helps them gain more skills

How can other people partner with you on your project?

People can partner with our organisation by helping us economically. We are a community based and non profit organisation and our door is open to everyone who wishes to help us.
