Twerwaneho Orphans Community Initiative (TOCI) is a small locally run community initiative that focuses on helping HIV/AIDS affected orphans, child headed households and children with disabilities and special needs to live healthy, sustainable and successful lives.

What is your project and how will it help?

The organization seeks to recruit a volunteer Managing Director with the role to oversee the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Twerwaneho Orphans Community Initiative(TOCI) activities by working to transform the lives of orphans and child headed households from hopelessness, poverty and exploitation to children who are successful and reached their full potential in areas of education, habilitation and rehabilitation (vocational skills) and medical care.

The organization requires a long-term plan to determine how its economic and human resources should be managed and also how to boost the financial resources available to the organization.

Those interested in supporting the organization and it’s various projects can volunteer on a number of activities available and also make donations to help TOCI change lives.

Please detail the resources that you need.

We need a person to volunteer as a Managing Director of the Organization. The responsibilities include:

1. Developing and coordinating the programs specific activities including work plans and budgets for the Organization’s programs.

2. Maintain organisation staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

3. Together with other staff carry out regular visits to the vulnerable recipients to assess how they could be helped more.

4. Work with other staff to develop different projects and write proposals for possible funding for TOCI.

5. Assist in overall organizational operation including decision making, strategic planning, management information systems, human resource as well as timely compiling of all necessary reports for program activities.

6. Be able to work under minimum supervision, guidance and be in position to access situations as well as be flexible as situations change.
