Banco de Sillas de Ruedas (BANDESIR) aims to promote the integration of persons with disabilities into their family environment and the labour force. Among its services are the provision of wheelchairs and other orthopaedic equipment, medical and dental services, and rehabilitation services directed primarily to persons with disabilities and senior citizens. BANDESIR promotes programs with similar institutions, or public and private entities to improve the quality of life for the disabled.
