Simunye

Unverified non-profit organisation

Simunye is a Canadian NGO that provides life changing opportunities to young people with a talent for soccer living in poverty in Zimbabwe. The young people selected for the programme must also have academic ambitions. Simunye aims to provide financial assistance and scholarships for these young people so that they can complete their education while advancing their development as soccer players. The young people are intended eventually to become ambassadors for Zimbabwe.

Simunye is in the process of converting a four and half acre farming plot to a residential training academy where the students will be taught how to grow their own food and how to run a poultry project, skills they may use later in life to support themselves and their families.
