Support paramedic center in Indonesia

Requested by

Yayasan Talkis (Talkis Foundation)

Who are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?

Our organisation focus on three different areas.

1. Disaster relief: We help disaster victims and medical rescue case.

2. Home nursing: Many patients who are poor peoples in urban area do not want go to hospital. The main problem is not only medication cost, but also for transport, living cost to assist their family in hospital, and many others. That’s why we provide home nursing for them.

3. Assisting medical students from poor families: There is a problem with nurses who graduate from SMK (vocational high school). Since august 2011, the Ministry of Health does not give working permit to health worker who do not have higher education diploma. As the result for every year, there are thousands graduates who may not legally work or become self employee. That is an irony, because mostly SMK students come from low income family who wish to get work immediately after graduate. Paramedic training that we hold will be prior alternate to solve their problems. It will give them opportunity to immediately legally work, after finished the training they will get certificate of competency and credits or diploma from reputable university.
