First Comes First

Who are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?

First Comes First (FCF) is a Kenyan organization that seeks to bring together all firstborn children from every family and to help them improve their welfare despite the pressure that comes with the responsibility of being the first blood in the family. The organization is a peace ambassador, an agency against poverty and a center of care for the entire human race.

What is your project and how will it help?

Many firstborn children in Africa and abroad are left with the burden to support their families in the event where there in no parent, one parent or poor parents who can not support the family fully. We offer training to empower firstborn children to be better economically and socially.

After the training, we divide them into groups of five and give each group money to set up a business which is in the field of their passion. For example, if a group of firstborn children are interested in wood work, we give them capital so set up a woodworking shop with all the tools they need to fund the business. Each month they are required to give back to the organization 5% of their profit which will be used to fund other upcoming groups of children. After this, we follow up on each firstborn child to make sure that they support their siblings financially so that they also can become economically stable.

The organization is aimed at developing financially stable firstborn children with enough skill and opportunity to generate income and opportunities for others, thus eradicating poverty. This we do by empowering the less fortunate firstborn children with entrepreneurial skills to make them better people in the world economy.

How can other people partner with you on your project?

I need partners to provide resources in terms of training and funding in order to empower firstborn children with knowledge and then provide them with capital to start their businesses and become financially independent.

We also need funding to start hosting conferences for empowering firstborn children all over Kenya and other parts of the world.

Please detail the resources that you need.
