UNDP is the United Nations global development network, an organization advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. UNDP has been active in Iran since 1966 and has worked closely with the government and other development partners, such as local councils, civil society, academic institutions and the private sector, providing technical assistance and knowledge. During this time UNDP-funded projects have been successfully implemented throughout the country in areas as diverse as governance, trade, poverty reduction, disaster mitigation and recovery, conservation of the environment and wildlife and rural development.
