    Sustainable Development for Vulnerable Peoples in Bangladesh
    (Unverified non-profit organisation)

    miahferoz says: Sub: Prayer for Partnership/Grants.
    Dear Sir/Madam
    It is a great pleasure for us to introduce our non-governmental / non-profit organization. Its name is Sustainable Development for Vulnerable Peoples in Bangladesh (SDVPB). Established in 1999, at West Sharulia, Demra, Dhaka –1361. It is a government registered charity organization. Government Registration No is 2858, dated, Dhaka – 18/05/2014. Main objective of our organization is to provide free training on computer and International English Language Course to the disadvantaged children, girls, women & unemployed youth in Bangladesh to make them qualified for jobs in different sectors, especially in outsourcing job. In limited scale we can claim success, even though we have critical limitations to run these basic programs smoothly.
    You know Bangladesh is a country of over population and poor is its main character. Most of the people in Bangladesh are living under poverty level. Result is most of the peoples are illiterate; those who have general education, majority of them have no technical knowledge for having a good job. Because they are very much weak in English language and IT Knowledge which are vital at the present Bangladesh to have a standard job.
    We believe that by providing technical skills training to undeserved individuals, we can partner to create social and economic opportunities that can change peoples’ lives and transform communities, Ultimately, Sustainable Development for Vulnerable Peoples in Bangladesh is helping bridge the global technology gap by providing the training and tools people need to realize their potentials. For achieving the goals we are trying our best by our own resources to teach the IT (computer) and English language at free of cost to the disadvantaged girls, women of the local areas. Therefore contribution is coming out for the society would be in limited scale. But our main objective is to provide free training program on IT and English language to the undeserved girls, women at the rural/urban areas of Bangladesh.Our commitment to empower 300 million young people with opportunities for education,employment, and entrepreneurship.
    But we are handicraft with our limited resources. By the assistance of your we can fulfil our dream. We need your all kinds of assistance very seriously. As we know that you’re helping the needed people around the world. We are very much hopeful to get assistance from you.
    We will remain grateful forever to you for your cooperation. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

    In line with its objectives YOGWA carry out projects in the areas of, children and youth education, community health care, women and girls empowerment, Agriculture , gender, human rights and governance in partnership with other organizations and structures.

    In its Agriculture program; our priority is to increase income generating potentials and improve the living condition of peasants in rural communities. To address this, YOGWA assists a number of women divided into cluster farmers groups through YOWEN in establishing cooperatives.
    In health; the Youth and Gender Welfare Association works in partnership; with the Ministry of Public Health, local and international NGOs as well as Community Driven and Faith Based Organizations to provide quality health services in its impact areas, aiming to reduce deaths and suffering due to HIV-AIDS, malaria and other pandemics in Cameroon by increasing efforts to secure a comprehensive and sustained response to HIV-AIDS, malaria and during pregnancy and delivery in the rural areas. Iteme Foundation
    (Unverified non-profit organisation)

    Nzitatira Sunday Justin says: We envision a society where people are healthy, safe, and self-sufficient — a place where every person, regardless of their background, has a voice in their future and access to opportunities and resources to realize that future. We envision a community that finds strength in diversity and individuals that are empowered to pursue opportunities both locally and across the globe.

    We work hard to provide support and training that young people need in order to be integrated into mainstream education, training and employment. It is our passion to help young people realize their potential to build a better future for themselves.

    Iteme Foundation is dedicated to promoting the socio-economic well being of disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young women by empowering them to live in a manner that allows for their adjustment into mainstream society.we are therefore interested in your services/offer and would be very grateful if you could consider, and offer us your services. EMPOWER RWANDAN GIRL

    The cycle of poverty starts early for Rwandan girls. In Rwanda, girls between the ages of 15 and 24 are at the highest risk of contracting the HIV virus. Born into poor families, young women are often not sent to school so the choices they have are either marriage or menial labor. Adolescence is an especially vulnerable time as girls are often tempted by the profitability of selling their bodies. By the age of 18, many of these girls have children, no husbands, and sometimes AIDS. Iteme Foundation seeks to break this cycle by bringing economic empowerment back into their lives.

    Once these at-risk youths are identified in the community, we offer life skills classes that include:

    tailoring skills

    health education

    financial education

    most importantly, a community of older, respected women

    The mentors help these girls to see the potential of their lives and help them get started on their future. While they are in class, the young women can leave their children in Iteme’s daycare center, providing them with a safe place to play.

    In an effort to encompass the entire community, Iteme Foundation has now reached out to 70 at-risk young women to bring a sense of empowerment into their lives. .

    Dream Achievers Youth Organization
    (Unverified non-profit organisation)

    Seif Jira says: Dream Achievers Youth Organization (DAYO) was established in May 2005 under the Ministry of Gender, Children & Social Services with registration no. SS/MSA/CD/CBO/09/03 as a non-profitable and non-political community based organization formed by a group of young volunteers who wanted to mitigate challenges among young people through community theatre as a participatory strategy of disseminating, educating and informing the community on issues of adolescence sexual and reproductive health, human rights, HIV/AIDS, Malaria and TB with a focus on young women and youth so that they can protect themselves from unwanted pregnancies, drug abuse and HIV among other infections.

    Vision of DAYO
    Community where youth are free from diseases and poverty.

    Mission DAYO
    Our mandate is to build capacity and respond by preventing and reducing the risks of diseases and socio-economic situations among youth in the region.

    DAYO Core Values
    •Integrity and professionalism
    •Transparency and accountability
    •Equality and equity
    •Compassion
    •Team work

    DAYO Strategic Objectives:
    DAYO strategic themes will form the focus for concerted action in the subsequent years of organizational existence. The themes for this subsequent organization shall include: -

    •Improving DAYO’s capacity to design and implement quality and sustainable youth programs.

    •Improving the quality of knowledge on SRHR and Governance among young people served by DAYO.

    •Enhancing sustainability of DAYO

    •Improve economic empowerment of youth in the community served by DAYO

    Key Organization Achievements:
    In the past nine years DAYO has been in operation, the organization has managed to secure financial resources for its programs through networking and collaboration, which has strengthened the organizations internal and institutional capacity. Through funds from Youth Enterprise Development Fund and Kenya Community Development Foundation, the organization has engaged in various income generating activities such as hiring of public address system, chairs, tents and the establishment of Youth Revolving Funds (SACCO) to support access to loan facility by the youth within Mombasa County.

    DAYO worked to sensitize the community on the importance of education and how to improve the quality of education; this was carried through collaboration with Uwezo Kenya. Basic literacy and numeracy skills assessment of children between 6-16 years was carried out through Annual Learning Assessment (ALA) framework. The aim was to create an educational community that collectively seeks to achieve quality education for all. DAYO also hosted the launch of the regional Uwezo report for 2012.
    DAYO While networking with relevant health organizations has eased the referral of youth to friendly health services and facilities contributing to HIV/AIDS prevention through counseling and testing services and treatment. Magnet theatre outreaches promoted use of participatory non-cognitive methods in disseminating information and reaching out to high number of beneficiaries. This has also promoted the use of youth friendly services at Mlaleo health center as a model. DAYO has also raised awareness in the community on issues of HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, primary healthcare, environmental management and sanitation. DAYO also works to provide access to counseling for HIV/AIDS and substance abuse for those in need. General healthcare is also promoted within the community through education and sensitization.
    The dance4life concept implemented by DAYO in Mombasa has become the best practice in engagement of youth in developing life skills and prevention of HIV infection. In Kenya, dance4life is currently implemented in 80 public and private schools in Mombasa and Nairobi, reaching over 15, 000 young people. The focus of the program used to be only on HIV and AIDS, but has since expanded to include SRH&R and life skills. This enabled the youth to acquire skills in order to make the right healthy decisions in their lives.
    10 youth from the active school level dance4 life program were nominated to the youth council which is an advisory board for the dance4life program, and currently helping in decision making and giving their youthful opinion and input to not only improve dance4life but ensure youth perspective is factored in programming.
    DAYO has also benefited from mentorship program funded by USAID and through WOFAK that supported the improvement of capacity of local organization providing reliable, quality and sustainable health services to the community. DAYO members of staff were trained and mentored. The organization also developed manuals and systems for Finance, HR and strategy plan. reach us on info@dreamachieverskenya.org

TEL:(+237) 651143521/677478700/666922335/673576204/665213775. EMAIL:shallomorphan@gmail.com Who are we trying to help? What issue are we trying to address? We operate in Village and Town. The economy here is agrarian in nature. The major economic activity in and around the villages is subsistence agriculture. There are no hospitals or clinics in some Village. The village doesn’t have electricity or piped water so that people drink directly from the river without any purification or filtering system. This means that children suffer from waterborne diseases. There are also many mosquitoes which transmit malaria, and the the shallow toilets that attract flies also help to transmit disease. We want to do something about the poor hygiene existing in the area, and that particularly affects children. SHALOM CHARITY is a Christian charity in Cameroon committed to the provision of humanitarian relief and development assistance to communities in crisis. SHALOM CHARITY focuses on help for under-privileged girls and boys, widows, aging persons, handicapped persons, pregnant women, mothers and children in need. What is our project and how will it help? We want to run a child care project that will help children to look after themselves better. The project aims to provide better food, clean drinking water and basic medical care and educational support for orphans and destitute children. Our specific objectives are: 1- To make sure no child goes hungry; 2- To provide clean drinking water to all children in need; 3- To wash and keep children clean and healthy; 4- To provide basic medical care to children; 5- To provide early childhood education to underprivileged children; 6- To promote child evangelism and discipleship; 7- To develop a partnership between Shallom Charity Child Care Centers and partners. Activities: 1- Making food available to the children so that no child stays without eating; 2- Making clean water available to the children so that no child should stay without clean drinking water; 3- Washing and keeping the children clean and healthy; 4- Making sure that basic medical care is available to all children;

    Nambikkai Trust
    (Unverified non-profit organisation)

    Joseph nirmalraj. S says: Dear Sir/Madam

    Nambikkai Trust (NT) has been started in the year 2007 by a group of committed individuals. NT is located in Tirukkovilur in Villupuram District. We are a social service organisation working for the empowerment of vulnerable people with special focus on children in and around Tirukkovilur. Nambikkai Trust believes that today's children are tomorrow's citizens and hence the Trust special attention is given to children. NT has been working with the following kinds of children and working towards improving their living conditions:

    1)street children;

    2)working children;

    3)run away children;

    4)orphans and semi-orphans;

    5)children from weaker sections.

    Background

    Villupuram is one of the districts in Tamil Nadu that falls behind in various social indicators. Child labour and child marriages are highly prevalent in the district. The rate of child marriages in the district is (21%) higher than the Tamil Nadu state average (15%).[1] In addition to the child marriages, child labour is prevalent in the district. In spite of efforts put forward by Nambikkai and other such organisations, issues of child marriages and child labour are rampant within the district.

    Child trafficking is one more issue prevailing in the district. Children, particularly girl child, are trafficked as domestic helps to various places in Tamil Nadu and outside Tamil Nadu. Such children face severe physical and emotional abuse both in the short term and the long term. Nambikkai Trust is putting in efforts in fighting these social evils by bringing in awareness and thereby empowering the people vis-a-vis child related issues. Campaigns related to child labour, child marriages, child trafficking, HIV AIDS, significances of education, etc, are being undertaken by the Nambikkai Trust.

    Nambikkai Trust is CHARITABLE TRUST working for the vulnerable groups of people in our society. Presently we are working in Villupuram District,we mainly focus on children who are in risk.(Orphans,street children,child labour,physically and sexually abused, girl child facing child marriages,missing child).We are a partner of CHILDLINE 1098 WHICH IS PROJECT OF MINISTRY OF WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT,GOVERNMENT OF INDIA.We have stopped nearly 220 child marriages,filed cases against sexual abuses,rescued child labourers and rehabilitated them,we have also rescued trafficed child.For all our work we have supporting documents like FIR and letters from the district administration. Till today we are supporting nearly 1500 children in our DISTRICT.Dear Sir/Madam we are doing these work with the help of donations and contributions from generous people like you,we kindly request you to support us. Through 1098 child helpline daily we get a number of cases and we have to address it immediately in order to safe guard the child in risk.We provide food,clothing,shelter, medical support,educational support,school enrollment,ITI fess and with the help of CHILD WELFARE COMMITTE AND DISTRICT SOCIAL WELFARE OFFICE WE PROVIDE REHABILITATION FOR THE CHILD

    Due to increased harassment on girl children we have formed an awareness team who go about in schools and villages and educate the girl children about good touch and bad touch. We also educate the parents in the villages to form safe circle for girl children. We request you to support our new campaign that we are doing for the girl children.

    Northern Uganda Environmental protection and Prevention of HIV / AIDS (NUEPHA)
    (Unverified non-profit organisation)

    ADULA DICKSON says: ADULA DICKSON says: ADULA DICKSON THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF Northern Uganda environmental protection and prevention of HIV /AIDS We are INTERESTED IN THIS OFFER Northern Uganda environmental protection and prevention of HIV /AIDS formed in 2012 with it headquarter in Lira district and their aims to protect environment, improve the live hood and fight against the spread of HIV AIDS among the community in northern Uganda. The poverty level in this region is 65% compared to the national level ,therefore it’s the highest in the country thus affecting the livelihoods of these people As people settled in the camps for many years therefore, it led to reckless lives as result of heavy drinking and having unprotected sex. Many of them acquired AIDS/HIV. Therefore there is the need to continuously sensitize these people on the dangers of the disease Much as some heath center now provide some AIDS/HIV Services, But not every member of these communities have access to it . There fore there is the need to sensitize them and make the services nearer where by each community member is reached .They shall be counseled, tested and referred for CD 4 cell counts and subsequent introduction of ARVs for those found to be positive. We shall also sensitize them on the need for voluntary Medical male circumcision (MMC) as one of the strategists of preventing the spread of the HIV/AIDS.
    Not only that the trees have been indiscriminately cut down for construction poles and charcoal burning. Some tree species like shear tree in now threatened yet it’s a very economically valuable tree because of the shear butter oil which it produces. Big chucks of land are being cultivated after cutting down all the trees that would other wise protect the environment. Therefore NUEPHA aims to Train groups in all the sub- counties in northern Uganda on sustainable Environmental management, Agro forestry management, Wetlands management and distribute tree seedlings to farmers

    Hope For All Trust
    (Unverified non-profit organisation)

    Hope For All Trust says: Hope For All Trust is proposing to carry out a project that will bridge the education gap between the poor and the privileged in the communities around Zimbabwe in this particular issue the project site is in Chardley Farm at Maringari School, located 90 km from Harare in Mashonaland East Province. The proposed project of classroom block construction is to be carried out in the area as stated in the proposals after a research which showed that Maringari Primary School is using tobacco barns as classrooms after the impoverished community persons saw it fit as they have no means to build a proper conducive learning environment. Therefore, the organization is seeking support for the implementation of the program and will be responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the project as well as to be involved in the implementation of the project from the start to the end. The project is aimed to benefit the target group with specific emphasis on fostering equal education with access to adequate educational facilities and requirements for all thereby complimenting efforts from the government and other organizations that are providing diverse educational support. The area is geographically dispersed and children are forced to travel long distances to attend school, we therefore request for a donation of 200 bikes
