RUDISOF (Rural And Urban Development and Improvement of Socio-economic Facilities) is a Bangladeshi NGO established in 1996. The organisation aims to empower underprivileged people, particularly women and their families, enabling them to take control of their own lives. The organisation works in the following areas: health care (HIV/AIDS, support to commercial sex workers), water and sanitation, nutrition and environmental protection. RUDISOF also provides free legal counselling to women. RUDISOF’s interventions include training, monitoring and evaluation of projects, and the provision of micro-credit.
