The Bombolulu Workshop for the Handicapped was founded in 1969 with the aim of providing training opportunities and sheltered employment to men and women with physical disabilities who are from disadvantaged families.

Bombolulu Workshops is one of the projects of the Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya, the association has 8 branches country wide located in Busia, Kisumu, Embu, Nairobi, Kakamega, Machakos, Nakuru, Kisii.

The Mission and Vision of the organizations is to enable persons with disabilities to overcome their physical limitations and empower them economically and socially to become self reliant and fully integrated members of their communities.

Goals and objectives of Bombolulu is to reach out to many other persons with disability through opportunities of employment and develop market led products of high quality with the Fair Trade environment.
