Pact Tanzania

Unverified non-profit organisation

Since 2002, Pact Tanzania has been operating as one of the 24 field offices of Pact in Africa, an international non-governmental organisation. It strives to build a strong, democratic society that protects the rights of and provides opportunities to vulnerable children, women, and marginalized groups, by focusing on organisational capacity strengthening and grants management. Thus, it provides specialised training, mentoring and technical assistance to civil society organisations and it has developed several grant programmes for orphans and other children at risk.

Pact also focuses on eliminating corruption (the MCA-BONGA programme), supporting innovative approaches to HIV/AIDS prevention and care, assisting poor women to improve their lives (the WORTH programme), improving civil society’s ability to advocate sustainable change and development.
