The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is Switzerland’s international cooperation agency that is responsible for the coordination of Switzerland’s overseas relief and development activities. The overall goal of SDC Office in Tajikistan is to contribute to poverty alleviation, facilitation of sustainable growth, equitable access to good quality public services and transition towards pluralistic and economically viable states. These projects are embedded in the five domains of intervention: Health Care Reform, Basic Infrastructure, Disaster Risk and Water Management, Private Sector Development and Public Institutions and Services complemented by Gender and Good Governance as cross cutting themes. Long term oriented humanitarian aid addresses the management of disaster risks and their mitigation. SDC also engages in the protection and promotion of human right in Tajikistan.
