Karagwe Vimaka Vocational training Development and Poverty Alleviation (KVDPA) is a Tanzanian NGO that provides vocational training in tailoring, entrepreneurship and home management. Trainees are taught to make school uniforms and to design clothes for men and women. The main aim of the organisation is to help women and young people to become self-reliant and to wean them away from harmful practices, including drug abuse. KDVPA also works on HIV/AIDS-related issues, and supports people infected and affected by the disease, and provides training in computer skills and literacy.
