The St Vincent de Paul Society (SVP) is an international Christian organisation. Catholic in origin and character it is dedicated to helping anyone in need from the sick and the lonely to those suffering from disabilities. In Australia SVP services include aged care facilities, migrant and refugee services, home, hospital and prison visitation, clothing and assistance centres, rehabilitation centres, care and support for people with disabilities. The Society accepts donated goods ranging from food, clothing, furnishings or white goods to televisions and sound systems.
