The Ark Chantal Foundation (Nadace Archa Chantal) aims to humanize children’s health institutions in the Czech Republic through projects designed by local artists and architects. The projects meet the requirements and specific needs of individual hospital departments in cooperation with children psychologists, physicians and nurses. The designs are original in their themes to warm the cold, impersonal environment of hospitals with colours, pictures, game rooms so as to evoke a sense of safety by all available means and soften the psychical suffering, fear and homesickness of children as much as possible.
