UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, is an innovative partnership that aims to achieve universal access to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support. UNAIDS’s mission is related to

Goal 6 of the MDGs which aims by 2015 to have halted and begun to reverse the spread of HIV; and to have achieved, by 2010, universal access to treatment for HIV for all those who need it.

UNAIDS own vision is for zero new HIV infections and for zero discrimination and zero AIDS-related deaths
