The World Health Organization, the United Nations specialised agency for health, aims to coordinate international health activities and to help governments improve health services. WHO cooperation with the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya will focus on these issues and technical support is needed in strategic directions namely attainment of better health and quality of life, governance and institutional, human resources development health care financing and drugs and health technology.In Lybia, WHO is working on strengthening local surgical and trauma care capacities in the event of massive influx of wounded and injured patients.
