MEHDA has been working with the community of Pirang for the past 20 years. The organization’s work mainly concentrates in agriculture, education, and disaster relief.

Agriculture
MEHDA started working in Pirang village supporting women gardeners by providing seeds, barb wires, digging wells etc. They also supported different fishing community in the area by providing fishing nets.

Education
MEHDA’s educational project supported many children in the form of paying their school fees and providing feeding for them. MEHDA also built a nursery school for one of the community that never had a nursery school in their area. The school is fully supported by the NGO. The children in this school do not pay anything (school fees, clothing and feeding) all these are being provided by the NGO.

Disaster Work
The NGO also has a program to help those who are affected by natural disaster. Every year MEHDA supports many families who are disaster victims through providing clothing, food items, corrugated iron sheets, etc.

In total over 30,000 people were reached by MEHDA.
